San José, CA — The San José/Evergreen Community College District is pleased to announce the appointment of Jayaseetha (Jessie) Bhargavan to the position of Associate Director for the Institute for Business Performance in San José.

“Jessie is extremely qualified for this important position,” says Carol Coen, Executive Director of the Institute for Business Performance. “Her comprehensive experience in Human Resources Technology/Training and Organization Development is a very sought-after skill in today’s business training, and the hands-on knowledge she has acquired through her own career will serve our current employees and future students well.”

The owner of local performance consulting company, Bhargavan & Associates, Ms. Bhargavan has worked alongside senior executives in relating business goals to human resource strategies within notable companies in software, manufacturing, biotech and service industries. Her experience encompasses process improvement, team and individual skills development, and one-on-one coaching for clients such as Autodesk, Varian, Percusurge, Santa Clara County and the City of San José.

Ms. Bhargavan’s previous employment includes Senior Staff Manager at TAOS (The Sys Admin Company), where she was responsible for a staff of 40-50 in off-site technical teams, Administrative Services Manager at Quantum Services @ NASA-Ames, and HR Team Manager at Administaff.

“I am pleased to be joining the team at IBP,” says Ms. Bhargavan. “Right now we have so much to offer Silicon Valley’s professionals—Geographical Information System (GIS) curriculum, Job specific communications skills training, Customer service training and Management & Leadership training, to name a few. We are currently creating a vocational bio-tech and health care program to meet the needs of the rapidly-growing biotechnology and allied health care industry.”
