Administrative Services
The Office of the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of most administrative infrastructure programs for the district except for the Department of Human Resources. Among these programs are: information systems and technology, bookstores, food services, legal services, contracts, accounting, budgeting, police and public safety, emergency preparedness, liability and property insurance, student insurance, district vehicles, utilities, warehousing, payroll, purchasing, reprographics, grounds maintenance, and physical plant construction, maintenance, and replacement.
As the chief financial officer for the district, the Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services is responsible for preparation and presentation of the annual district budget to the Chancellor and Board of Trustees, and for overall management of the district budget throughout the year. This position also serves as treasurer and ex officio board member for the San Jose/Evergreen Community College District Foundation.
