Technology Center, completed in August 2003
- This facility on Bascom Avenue adjacent to the college campus has expanded San José/Evergreen Community College District’s Business & Service Careers department. This 80,00 square-foot, five-story building houses many vital instructional programs, including Computer Information Systems, Multi-Media Design, Laser Technology, Emergency Medical Training and Dental Assisting. Two computer labs will be dedicated to programs that are linked to Sun Microsystems and Cisco. The first floor houses the Institute for Business Performance, a subsidiary of the District that provides support for career re-training and hosts Santa Clara County’s Traffic School.
- The total cost for this building is approximately $22.8 million, and was funded 100 percent by Measure I. Thank you voters of San José!
