Stadium and track and field upgrade, completed in Fall 2001
- This project provides the college with a new facility that replaces its older track and field that had not only served out its useful purpose, but became unsafe for use. The football field was replaced with synthetic turf, which eliminates the need for ongoing maintenance and upkeep. The new track is an all-weather surface that not only improves athlete safety, but also provides the college with an excellent facility to support its athletics program. This facility is also available to the neighboring community for recreational use.
- This project was completed in September 2001. The cost was $2 million and was built using 50 percent Measure I funds, and 50 percent lease revenues. Thank you voters of San José!
